Cross at High Island

Alcy and I went to High Island to photograph the rookery again. We decided to do evening light the first day and return the next morning for early morning light. Not a bad plan except it was terribly overcast the for the morning shoot.

After shooting the first day we decided to drive to the beach. As most know the beach at High Island is pretty unexciting. It would have been except for this cross installed about fifteen or so feet out into the surf. I shot a number of late evening photographs and the next morning returned hoping to get a sunrise behind the cross. Unfortunately it was raining slightly. I shot a number of photographs and may later post a few more.
