Cypress Knees

A section of Mercer Arboretum is devoted to 'natural' environment. Part of that is a small swamp area. Alcy enjoys the cypress knees in the swamp area. She sees them as robed monks or possibly wizards, which is understandable from their shapes. They are extremely difficult to photograph and get that to carry across because of the amount of distractions and debris in the water. Debi had never been to the natural area of Mercer so while we were there yesterday we took it in. I decided to see if I could separate out the knees in the way that Alcy sees them. I am not sure how successful I was but these are probably as successful as any of the photographs that I have taken there.
