In Defense of My Previous Post

In Visual Poetry, Chris Orwig interviewed a number of successful photographers. He ask each photographer four questions: What Inspires you? What makes a photograph good? What character qualities should the photographer nurture? What is your advice for the aspiring photographer?

I just want to mention Douglas Kirkland’s answer to the third question, what character qualities should the photographer nurture? Kirkland’s answer was, “A healthy dose of ego that doesn’t degenerate into arrogance. Sensitivity to continuous change. Resilience and adaptability.” Just thought I would mention that.
