Yes I know June is not over but it does not look like there is going to be any photography for the remainder of the month and I want a copy before the July 10th Book Meeting of the Discussion Blog so I jumped the gun. Click below if you would like to see the first fifteen pages.
Gary, I really, really like the photograph you chose for your cover. It is very representative of a lot of your good work this year. I love the design, colors and texture.
ReplyDeleteSome of the images on the first 15 pages I have seen (the ones of Janet) and commented on previously. Some I have not. I really like the content in the ones you have chosen to use so far.
Some of my favorites are the typewriter and piano keys, the Rit dye boxes, the locks, ammo sign, the bottles and the handles on the flatware. In other words, it is hard to choose a favorite because I like them all so much! These are some of my favorite types of things to photograph and I am envious of every one of them!
I am looking very forward to seeing the entire book in its published form.
Jan, thank you. I hope to have a copy by the time of the meeting on the tenth.
ReplyDeleteThe Cypress Top Historic Park is open on Tuesdays. Maybe we could do a quick outing there in the next week or two. If we had enough people we could probably schedule a special tour when the public would not be there. That is what Jerry Klumpp did for NWHPC. It's a great place to shoot and I have been wanting to go back but I never have.
Great cover. Who took that shot?
ReplyDeletePaul, thanks. The photograph is one of the ones that I had done for the "portfolio" of the over painted grafitti.
ReplyDeleteThe book is going to be here today so I am a little excited. I went with the 8x10 instead of the 7x7 this year, feeling flush, may not after I buy two of them.
