Lazy Day

Well, things go up, things go down and sometimes things just go round and round.

The photoshoot Sunday wasn't a bust but it wasn't the best. I don't like shooting in direct sun and it was difficult to find shade that wasn't dappled. Fortunately Nicole and one of the other photographers that we joined carried me.

Monday I answered another Craig's list ad and made a fast trip to Katy to shoot three photographs. Breyona canceled the shoot Tuesday morning so I've had a day to lay back. With the grocery run a couple of days ago I didn't have to go out to eat so the only time I unlocked the door was to get the mail and carry it to the trash can. Sometimes life is just not real exciting. I guess I need to get out my portfolio Dust Unto Dust for a refresher. LOL

The premise of the photoshoot was to do "conceptual" shots. I wasn't feeling very conceptual. Nicole suggested the first one. Someone left a bag of paperback books at the drop box of the library. We found one that color coordinated with her top. We did a few of her reading books and then she suggested peeking out around the book to check out the hot dude across the way--we went for it. Not sure of the concept on the last two but I do love the background on the third one. That's shot with the 85mm f/1.4 @ f/3.2. I waited until a car drove by but it is so blurred that it doesn't show in the bw. It did add some color to the color version. That's one heck of a lens and I don't use it nearly enough.
