American Sniper

As I have said, I am not a movie person even though I have seen more movies in the past year than I have in the past ten or more. If I go to a movie it is a political statement, a support for the movie. I have gone to a couple lately with Debi and Alcy that are to see a movie, not political statements but when I go on my own it almost always is. Personally I think the end of Chris Kyle's life was the most important part and that was skipped entirely so I would like to have seen the story told differently. I watched To Hell and Back recently on TV; the story of Audie Murphy the most decorated solider of WWII. It is interesting to contemplate the difference in the two movies made in very different times. Not necessarily the comparison of the two men but a comparison between the way the medium is used to tell the story. I guess I am old. I liked the older movie better.

  1. I'd be willing to bet the older version didn't have nearly as many f-bombs in it as this one either! I use for movie reviews. It has saved me a lot of money over the years, as after reading the reviews I rule out many of them. Like you, it has to be pretty darn good for me to throw my money at the hollywood box office.
