Today Got Off to a Much Better Start

Northwest Houston Photo Club’s annual “Print of the Year” meeting was last night. I had seven prints that qualified for entry—didn’t win a thing (as expected.)

However, I awoke this morning to find an invitation to photograph the 4th Annual Homes for Veterans clay pigeon shoot at the American Shooting Center on the 28th and 29th. Jumped on that one with both feet. In addition, they are having rides in a Huey. After the experience with the B17 flights last year I am looking forward to that. The last helicopter, well for that the only helicopter that I have ever flown in was probably a Sikorsky Marine Corps HRS2 (later known as the H19 to coincide with the Army/Air Force designation) back in the 1950/60’s. The only thing that would be better would be a Blackhawk.

Another two day photoshoot and one exhausted old man at the end. Looking forward to it.
