Corel's Painter X

This is my first completed practice of a new software, Corel's Painter X. I have had the program for sometime but it is not an intuitive software and I am just beginning to really try to learn how to use it for turning photographs into pseudo paintings.

I think I had hoped that it would be as automatic as Microsoft's Paint 2000 but it is not. This requires, as far as I can tell so far, that you draw each paint stroke yourself. That might not be so difficult with a graphics tablet, but using a mouse it is a little rough. I may eventually purchase the Wacom tablet but I want to be sure that I am going to use the software extensively before I do that. So for a while the images are going to be a little rough.
