April 7th, Entropy: Permanent Storage Again part of our induced commercialism—buy me have fun! More proof that money or possessions can be fun, but only temporarily.
Having been the owner of two boats, I agree “the happiest day of your life is when you buy your boat; the second happiest day of your life is when you sell your boat.” It is difficult to travel far without seeing the “fun” slowly ebbing away in someone’s back yard or storage lot. The unluckiest of all are just abandoned and left to suffer the ravages of time. Wooden boats followed a natural order of hulks rotting into nothingness. Fiberglass, who knows how long the process. However, I suspect all will eventually succumb to entropy.
