Saturday was a very long day, very long. It started when
Debi and I met at Vintage Park for a NWHPC photoshoot of a monthly car collectors
gathering. We shot there until about 9:30 then moved to a park on Cutten Road
where they were dedicating a memorial to our Wounded Warriors. At 11:30 we left
to met Alcy for lunch on I10. After lunch we decided to “kill time” shooting at
the Antique Center of Texas. We had all signed up for a photoshoot downtown
with Houston Photowalks. This was a rehearsal for the upcoming International
Photowalk. The International limits the group to 50 photographers so it is full
within an hour or two of being posted. The 60 or 70 of us that met Saturday
evening were among the ones that didn’t get there in time. By the time it
started I was pretty well bushed already so I didn’t take a lot of photographs
but I enjoyed being there and shooting what I did. Finally got home around 9:30
and figured I would be up to at least two processing. Didn’t work that way. I
flaked out shortly before midnight. It’s taken me two days to almost complete
the processing. I should know better than to sign up for more than one
photoshoot a day but you can’t teach old dogs new tricks.
