Life is Good...

Today, life is good. Got confirmations that both my photographs from Mpix (the eight dead fish) and my mounts from Dick Blick will be arriving Monday.

I've got a "conceptional" photoshoot with Photoshoots of Houston along the Woodlands Waterway Sunday afternoon and a one-on-one shoot with Breyona at a park just south of the Woodlands Tuesday. And October is in sight. Yelp, life is good. Well it will be hopefully for the next hour or two anyway. LOL

Oh, and did I mention that I got two first place ribbons at the September print competition? Just thought I would throw that in.

ADDENDUM: Some people you just can't shut up. I am in! Just got a note from the Portfolio Review Chairman and I have a slot. Don't know who dropped out but their loss my gain. The day continues to be good.

  2. I guess it doesn't need to be said but I thought so. LOL They are in the album posted to the NWHPC meet up site, under PHOTOS, September Competition Night (www.NWHPC.com). You keep taking lots of photographs of food. I lived in Colorado for a time and as I recall there was some good food but lots of other things also. Sorry, couldn't resist picking on ya. Hope you are having a great time, or are you back in town already? Don't matter, still hope you are having a great time.

  3. Nice work! I've seen so much of your work through the years that I can pretty much spot it even without your name on it. I'm sure you can say the same for mine.

We never made it to CO. We spent the first night in FW with our daughter Carrie, checked the weather and realized that a front had moved in (too cold for tent camping) so we diverted to the Texas hill country where we had 3 nights and days of perfect tent weather. When the weather started to warm up again, we visited family in Austin and then ate our way on back to Houston. ha! (btw, those were smart phone snapshots) 4 clicks of a button and you're on FB.

I'm getting a few photos ready to enter the Woodlands Photo Club fall contest. Unfortunately, I don't have anything that fits most of the competition categories but will enter a couple of "people/emotion", one of "nature/texture" and one in "open." Lots of stiff competition so I don't have my hopes set too high...

  4. It sounds like you had a great time anyway--that's the important part. Maybe I should get a smart phone. Wish you luck with the Woodland's competition. I will be sending out invitations to the open house later. I do hope that you and Ronnie have a chance to drop by. I would love to have you but everyone would like to see you again.
