I'll be honest and say that "posed people photography" has always turned me off. Don't get me wrong - I love people photography, I just don't like anything that looks contrived or posed. But I'm making an exception to that with the second one posted. Yes, it is posed but I really like 1) the interest in her hair, 2) the colors and 2) the lighting. They are all technically excellent, and I admire your ability to pull that off, but just don't care for model photography. Nice work, however.
Jan, I understand. Actually they are about 50/50 most of the time.Probably not this shoot but I generally take as many photos that are candids as I do that are posed. They are just all so good that it is hard to tell that they are not posed. LOL I loved the light on the hair in the one that you mentioned. Ashley was talking with one of the photographers so it is basically a candid. It reqiured some manipulation of the lighting on the face which was quite dark in the original and blended with the background.
