Mercer Shoot: Darryl Perrilloux

Well, my photographs of Darryl Perrilloux was not as bad as I originally thought. I found these four that are usable and there may be one or two more.

I had looked through the portfolios of all the models that has signed up for the Mercer shoot so that I would have some ideas what they had done. There were a number of photographs of Darryl but they were all very tough guy and he can carry that off very well. At the first opportunity I had to photograph by himself on the first shot he did as I had expected and looked very tough. On the second shot he smiled and I was so taken back that I said the first thing that popped into my head (when have I not done that?), “Good gosh, he can smile!” He laughed and commented that he needs more smiling photographs. I only got this one that was salvageable but hopefully I will get another chance to work with him and do some in better light.

This was toward the end or my involvement in the shoot and I think that I got a little better as I went along. The first photographs that I did of Niecy on the swing at the pravillion were pretty much disasters. It as an interesting experience and I can hardly wait until the next photoshoot at Old Town Spring.
